The first big event of this school year that PAinT will be involved with is a concert that will be held on September 20th. David Rovics, a singer/songwriter from Oregon, will be playing at the new Art Center, along with a local singer, Ruth Hill.
David Rovics' music is very politically motivated. Like Woodie Guthrie, his songs tell tales and carry an anti-war, pro-peace message. In short, his performance is one worth seeing, and by our participation in this event I hope to get PAinT's message of peace the exposure it needs and deserves.
